Åsmund Frægdegjæva

By julieos

The king promises his daughter (cN: sister) to Åsmund if he will go north the the country of trolls to get her free. (cN: Åsmund sails there with his two brothers.) Åsmund arrives at the mountain where the princess is, kills a female ogre and takes the princess down to his ship. The ship is gone (cN: with the two brothers on board). Åsmund returns to the mountain, kills a lot of ogres and finds a horse that promises to carry him and the princess if Åsmund will promise to give the horse his right hand. They ride home across the sea. Åsmund cuts the horse’s head off and it turns into a man, the princess’ brother.
